But with credit to 12inchdude, I agree that some things definitely have to change in MIR. My main char is lvl30 Warrior. I am lucky enough to have HalfMoon and still huntin for S.Dash. I'm quite certain that I"ll never buy that skill book seing as I currently have 330K which is 100K higher then my previous high. Therefore, I have to rely on killing WB or ET's and "hope" they drop something other then sun pots. This is quite ridiculous. I agree that weapons should be "rare" or atleast "special", but a skill should readily available in shops. It's a skill ffs, not a weapon. I"ve earned lvl30 and I damn well should have access to it without having to mine / hunt / steal / whatever for 2 months to buy the bloody thing. So in that aspect, I'm pissed. I'm sick of having to search for skills.
I want you to take notice that I don't particularly "Need" a Great Axe (I'm using a Puri with DC 10 - 14) but I'd like to have one. I say this cause I can still hunt with my Puri and still make EXP and some money.
Which leads to my next point, I dno't steal from others. On the other hand, the "item greed" lvl in this game is so high (due to the lack of items) that theft has gone Rampant.
I want to throw this in, I was in LDC killing an ET by myself and I only had 8 bundles (Yeh, that's right, 8. With a Puri you'll be hard pressed too) when a warrior by the name of "Draton" showed up and he fought off the spawns and when I was out of pots he dropped a bundle and saved my arse. Then I hit ET 2 more times and he died. Draton didn't even move. He even instructed ppl to move and not take items. I took the items and left him all pots, I know it ain't much, but hell, Draton is the man. He's a great example of how ppl should be. And to add to this, if it wasn't that I was so faithful to my current guild, I would have switched to his guild in a heartbeat. If more ppl was like Draton, this game would instantly go 1 full rating higher.
Then there's PK'ing for items.... I mean, WTF??? I started a new wizard and in 1 trip to Bichon Wall, 3 PPL tried to PK me (Chelu17, Slaymore and paximus) Of the 3, I logged into my Warrior and I PK'ed them instead. I had to run from Slaymore as I was outside.... Anyway, being a lowly lvl 17 wizard, it takes but 2 - 3 hits to kill me... I can't believe the rampant PKing going on. But I can explain this also... Ppl are bored. It's that simple. I won't explain this further.
Then 12inchdude says "Better designed locations". This is true. Especially in ST5th and downward lvls. ST lvls 1 - 4 were well done with detail and stuff like that on the walls... have you been to lvl5 and lower ?? It's crap. Looks like it was done in 2 mins or so. a 2 year old could develop better looking maps in that respect.
Then there is character development.... this is nuts. How many F'in rats does a lvl30 warrior have to kill ? Well, seing as 1 rat doesn't quite give me .01% I figure in the range of 12000 or so. Hmmm. Since Zuma is empty, that's gonna be fun. I could go to bug cave, but since that means killing around 16000 bugs... not quite happy about that either. I could go and kill some Statues / Guardians, seing as they give upward of 450 - 500 exp... but they can literally take my HP down to 1/3... I mean... WTF?? The Stats / Guardians are way out of whack when it comes to EXP / HP taken off. I can kill a ghoul and lose less HP then killing a Guardian... something's not right there folks. This can easily be remedied. Allow / make mobs to give higher EXP while not hurting us a whole lot more then normal mobs. Otherwise, with the lack of weapons / skills, ppl will eventually quit. OH sure, you'll have the newbies joining up starting up the whole circle again, but eventually it'll die out.As a closing point, just cause 12inchdude came in here and voiced his opinion shouldn't make some ppl insult him (Jehutey). Or telling him to F off. If he wants to come in here and voice his opinion, I don't have a problem with that.
Sorry for rambling, but I think what I just said stands true.
