Im a tao and i solo-ed a Evil Tongs last saturday, I sprayed it with poison and let my lvl 7 bonefamiliar fight with me.
I eventually KILLED it but to my suprise it didn't drop ANYTHING not even money! I DID get experience tho. But is this a bug? Do poison or bonefamiliars effect the drop? I think there was another thread about this subject but I don't remember what was said :

I don't believe that there is any guarantee that any mob will drop anything (except for bosses).

but an Evil Tongs IS a boss... a mid boss but still a boss. |

Is there only 1 Evil Tong at any one time in that map? If not, then it isn't guaranteed to drop anything. If there is then there may well be a bug. << This IS just a game, so keep your cool and have fun >> |

lol jeez you think im a n00b or something? I'm one of the highest Tao's on phoenix for crying outloud :P You dont know what an Evil Tongs is? O_o Its a mid boss alright! Its like a normal Tongs but alot bigger and stronger ofcourse. Check the manual it has a nice pic of one or try and find one in the bug cave ;). |

you are not guaranteed an item drop from any mob, you are just unlucky I got something to say, its better to burn out than to fade away. |

Yep no bug here just unlucky, bit liek me, they ither drop nothign or a pile of crap, then i lagg out my mate kills it and he gets life neck great!!! what do i get fuk all because i didnt help kill it i was dead! Strap in the electric chair!!

I thought mid bosses were always supposed to give a massive drop, even though its usually massive crap :\. first time this has happend to me and ive been playing for a pretty long time.... |

It's the random chance thing... you've got as much chance of the best drop as you have nothing at all.
I've killed a few mid bosses & had crap / no drops. It's the same with all mobs. Just makes you wanna go out and kick their butts again Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas
