but i have 1 question 4 you to answer, if the probability of winning a lottery is 1 in 2,000,000,000. if u buy two tickest is that the same as 1 in 1,000,000,000. i really dont know the answer !

No actually the lottery tickets would follow as susch1/2,000,000,000
1/1,999,999,999 And downwards from that figure, but it is all dependant on the numbers as it depends on the number of times u can use the same number. Ie most lottery companies use 1-49 as their digits and these digits can only be used once on any ticket line. So therefore it would all be down to the number of combinations u ar able to use which then gives you the maximum figure ie 1/1000 and then each subsequent combination would then lower the exact figure by one as a 6 digit lottery ticket would look something like this1,2,3,4,5,6
then the next ticket u bought would be (if u wanted differing combinations)
1,2,3,4,5,7
and so on and o forth upto the maximum combination. So the buying a ticket to shorten odds by half would not work in reality. I came to chew bubblegum and kick ass and I`m fresh outta bubblegum! |
