Ok easy answer... Your monitor/video card is incompatible with Mir's 800x600 resolution. U can try alt + tab back to windows and then go back into the game to see if that makes any difference?? If it does then it proves that the video resolution used by Mir is incompatable with your video card or monitor. Either way its your machine that needs to be upgraded mate...
