Haven't started PKing again, huh? Lol, not only did you try to PK me in front of the BW bookstore (while I was doing business I might add... Typical), BUT you then told me I was on the Elite KOS so you were PKing on their behalf. After checking, I found that not only was I NOT on the KOS list, you're not even in their guild (I would hope they would not allow your "type" in their ranks). So, now that I've destroyed that excuse, why you PK me for no reason, little man?

TheGreatOne RTing round the mines quite funny if you ask me... can kill lower lvls but when a tao his lvl or a wiz a lvl higher tried to kill him he RT's or gives a lame excuse.

The use of characters identifies and seperates one identity from another. Each player can take forth any direction he or she likes with that particular character. The character in question can live a different life to that of other characters and act or react differently from a set characters.

Regardless of who is behind the controls that particular character, the player holds all responsibility of previous actions brought forth during play with that individual character. If a player has more than one character then each of the characters roleplaying activities are taken into account differently and all action regarding one particular character are undertaken on a seperate basis.

For example: If one player has three characters, one of which is the good guy and the other character is the bad guy with the last charactere being unused but still controlled by the same player - all characters are different regardless of who is controlling them.

As when one character enters play he is responsible for his/her actions. Once another character enters play he is also responsible for his/her actions. If one character upsets someone that is the character that should be questioned and not all characters.

Omnifusion is 100% correct and understands how roleplay games work.

Another example: The ever popular board game - Warhammer! If one player controls an army of Orcs one day and an army of Knights the next, does the player controlling the army of knights held responsible for what happened when he controlled the Orcs? No, it's a different ROLE he/she plays.

Another example: If a player on MIR has a character that kills and PKs then goes onto DAoC and plays a different role, do you hold him responsible for what his other character did while in play? No, it's a different ROLE he/she plays.

I can list well over 20 people that play two different roles in the game and have split good/bad characters - that's how roleplay games work.

Ive can give more an more examples of how roleplay games work but if you dont know by now you never will

I ran into the mines last night to try and get some cash to find him PKing ppl, as soon as I got near he ran away like the arse he is. Funniest thing was when he'd get rid of his candle and hide in a corner, and wait for us / me to walk away.

PKing is always forced upon a poor victim always intending to annoy the other player. It is no roleplaying at all. You just try to disguise this evil behaviour behind some suiting words.

To PK someone, then log in with another char and complain about PKing is the dumbest thing I have read in these pages.

So if for example a player on Dragon killed you and he plays on Phoenix and doesnt kill anyone, does that give you the right to kill that person? Course it doesnt!

From your comments you're taking the game serious and actions personal, I advise that you dont, it's not a good sign mate!

I can safely say though if I had a 2nd PK charecter I would not let on to any one my true identity because the majority of mir peeps would take their revenge on any charecter associated with the PKer, including myself.

Perhaps its the age old desire to strike down revenge upon those who would cross youre path.

That's correct yes.

Many people on Dragon server hate me due to the fact Ive killed them 10 times over as a different character and are best mates with me on Phoenix and have a laugh about the fights we had in the past as other characters.

Take AZN (aka RASTILIN) and myself for example. On Dragon we were known as two different people and we were always after each other and in rival guilds etc. Attacking, chasing, killing, everything that makes this game what it is today. We then use our other characters and are both leaders of the same guild and helped each other out as much as we could.

It's all part of the roleplaying game. If you cant handle the fact that it's a game and people have different characters that play different roles then it shows that you need a little more time to get used to the environment and how it makes the game interesting.

I would say almost half of the Dragon server have good and bad characters. Characters that they level up and characters they use for adding interest in the game - PK or whatever!

Simple fact is - if you dont like PKs and you dont like the idea that someone could steal from you - why do you play a game that allows that to happen? If you feel so strongly against these legal gaming options then this game isnt for you, obviously.

That's good to hear you're not taking it serious or as a personal attack towards you.

Im not taking sides, but I can understand why many, many people are playing this game like it should be - to roleplay, and to help that have not yet come to terms of such activities that go on in MIR (and all other RPGs out there)

This is a roleplaying game - nothing more, nothing less.

I agree this is definatley a role play game. So I have named my storeage character with this forum name as I just want to keep the one identity in Mir. I don't take the game all that serious, I play a good guy and try to have a laugh whenever possible.
