From what GM's have said in the past, it's like this.There is a random chance to : CURSE / ADD LUCK / NOTHING HAPPENS. BUT, the initial bene will *almost* ALWAYS add LUCK+1. BUT, once LUCK or CURSE is on the weapon, there is like 25 / 25/ 50 chance that the above will happen. (someone confirm the numbers for me, I can't be arsed to check it out) Hope this helps. Is Trooperr running around with Toobad's old j.mace (luck+3)? If so, at least the bene oils used to create it were acquired most probably through cheating, and Trooperr would have never got his hands on it anyway, had Toobad not cheated to get better items. So, would the GMs look into it and delete that thing if necessary?

Toobad mace luck+4 was made with 32 bene oils...
Toobad Slayer luck +4 was made with 17 bene oils...
TL Great axe that I used was made luck+1 with 4 benes
and lost luck because person left contest zone and died
