Is this right, I've recently got teleport and am lvling it up slowly. Is it meant to only work every 2-3 attempts? Even at lvl 0 it costs 10MP per attempt which works out at about 25MP per successful attempt. (I know this isn't that expensive compared to some Tao skills.)

The guide says that lvling up the skill increases the chances of landing near towns but I already land in towns a lot. So I was wondering does lvling up actually increase the likelihood that any particular attempt to use the skill will work?

Cheers for any help.

I can't say from personal experience (my wiz is only lvl 18), but I usually see that higher level Wiz (lvl 22+) still have to cast teleport 2-3 times before it works. But I might only see unlucky ones.

hi lichbane,

Yes, even if the teleport spell is still at level 0 you will still have a good chance of randomly teleporting in the last town that you were last saved in. I have about 100 skill points left to go till i maximize to skill level 3 and what i have noticed is that your attempts of casting will decrease and your chances of teleporting to town will increase and you will save on pots more. Trust me when your skill level reaches at least Level 2 you will see that there is a difference. Good luck practicing...it does get get better with higher skill level.

Thanks Bewulf, Ladynight,

I've managed to get it to lvl1 at last. I'll look forward to having a better chance to get out first time when I need to

Ladynight, from what you say, does it mean that if you last saved in a town outside Bichon Province, you will actually teleport to that town instead of somewhere back in Bichon?

Yes. For example, if you were in Bichon Wall selling or buying items and you decided you're in the mood to fight rats in zuma temple so you run out all the way to Zuma Temple..fight rats for a while and then when you're done you decide you'll just teleport back to town to sell or restock on potions...it will randomly teleport you all the way back to somewhere in bichon province or bichon wall because that is the last town that you were in. If however you stopped into Mudwall before you went to fight in zuma temple then you will teleport randomly anywhere in Mongchon or Mudwall. Hope this answers your question.

It will tele you, but only to SV. I also tried that and I wasn't very happy with the results . Seems you can only go back one province and not completely to the previous town.

On level 3 it is still random, but more often you are placed close to an important spot on the map. I can also add that I have gone through 2 MP bars and wasn't placed close to Mud Wall. You will still have to do some running, but just alot less than warriors or taos.
