Well folks after playing since early on in the Beta and enjoying it tremendously I'm finally pretty bored. I've decided the time for a break is here. So until the patch comes out and ppl post on the forum just how good it is I'm out of here. Miss you all an despecially the first few months of Pheonix. That was the best of times.
See you if the patch is a success.
For now I'm playing a bunch of games I've got my boys for x-mas presents and DAoC. BTW DAoC still doesn't grab me the way Mir did/does just doesn't pull you into the virtual world like Mir does.Stay safe all & c u in a few months maybe. Cya soon m8 hopefully - It`d be nice to see the good player return after a well deserved Christmas break and *hopefully* a new, decent patch! I realise the boredom factor is setting in hard to the point I`m having trouble getting on Mir myself with Christmas giving me such headaches and no patch to look forward to in the very immediate future :o(

too l8 m8, they allready have. notice the swarm of light-med armours that have hit phoenix? that = more new peeps = DRAGON PLAYERS = the fall of phoenix

bye Deadly, its a shame to see you go. I had a great time on our hunts, even if it were only a few. Hope the patch is gonna be good and that you'll be back after christmass. We can certainly fend those off for the moment dude! But once everyone decent leaves, then we may have our hands full for a while! NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER!!!

I'm sorry to see you go, but can understand why. There is nothing left to explore, and friendly players are getting harder and harder to find.You are easily one of the nicest people I have run across in Mir. I hope to see you again in a much bigger and improved Mir in a few months. - Rubra |

I'm sorry, but not surprised, to see you go. You were the first person I ever grouped with (on Dragon) & it's too bad that we never really got a chance to hunt together on Phoenix (well, except for that one oma warrior ) Even still you always took time out to chat with me and help an up and coming wizzy. Thank you for everything you have done for me and for making the server a better place to play.Good luck & hopefully you (and a new patch) will be back soon! LadyKate

Folks:Such nice replies, hope I do get to come back. It was just a nice early closed community of players. That's pretty much gone now. Before it was like a "real" community and family. So many nice ppl and players I had a blast however over the last 6 months of Mir I've almost stopped exercising and eating right. I've gone from 11% body fat and 148 pounds to 168 lbs and 26% body fat. Ugly! I'sd have to say 80% or more was due to Mir addiction and lack of sleep. lol So the fun and enjoyment (real addiction) had a rice tag on the old body. Yes, the body is old but it was in super shape until Mir rolled into my life. The thought of a new beta 6 months server where the characters are deleted turns a lot of folks off. However for me its a real attraction. Just hope I can strike a better balance of game addiction, diet and exercise. lol I still remember the first 2 months of Pheonix server and all the fun times and ppl I met. So nice when everyone is low lvl and forced to cooperate more. Such a nice community in the early days of any server. Knowing and seeing on a daily basis, 30- 70% or more of the same ppl over and over again. Gives a real sense of realism and community that adds so much to the game. Not to mention seeing everything develop is a real fun time. Remember the old got to get to the next lvl so bad because I can wear xxxx or I get xxxx spell/ability. So you would play nonstop for hours on end. :-) I love racing through those first 21 levels to see who is going to be the first high lvl and how they will treat others. Remember when a those first lvl 22 warrior/wiz/tao were looked at like gods. lol It's so much more enjoyable during the firts couple of months, much more than it is now. The last couple of weeks places were getting crowded and there were soooooo many high lvls that I never ever saw before. So given the choice, I'll probably take the beta server and the enjoyment of the early days of a new server, as Phoenix slowly slips deeper and deeper into the Dragon sydrone. Why be concerned about having your character deleted after 6 months? After all by that time 80% of the ppl will have quit as bordom sets in. :-( I'd love to see them limit a server to 400 players. That would color the experience so much better. DeathlyDad |
