Tricky Game Master Netherlands 921 Posts	Posted - 09/24/2001 : 12:35:27 Ok guys and gals, as most of you know there have been reports from people using a speed cheat. There is a check build in that reports any users of this cheat to a log file. So far these names have been banned from the game and see this as an example. As you all can imagine, this is not tolerated and result is an immediate ban. It doesn't matter if your lvl 1 or lvl 35... 24-9-01: fackjoe 13371ult lotos schinoble6 jennox soultrek jimbaz binkzz These people have been very lucky and their ban was only temporary. There is a check build into the game that reports any use of it. Sometimes it can be regarded as a lag spike, but this can be checked in the logs.. /Tricky Like I said, I never repeat myself. MageExcalibur Level 24 Thaoist Well in my opinion 1-2 days is not fast enough. To make it easier for the developers I was asked to report the names of people who use it. They are extremly busy right now and they can't keep checking logs to pick out people who use this. As you can imagine the people who were reported probably use different programs to accomplish this. They need to be on top of every sort of cheat and it's consuming a lot of time allready. /Tricky Like I said, I never repeat myself. Level Up!

Its only lag thats making this game so slow to lvl. Its getting bad when wolfs can get me so close to deaths door. So if theres a prog out there to make things faster get the programmers to use it in the game? Khaania is a high level wizard and she got killed in like 3 seconds, about 6 lighteninga in 3 seconds. Surely now lotos has been deleted we should have out items back? Toobad

Toobad Nopes she's NOT deleted, she's banned for 1 or 2 weeks. I'd like to point out that Lotos DID GET that account from SOLO and it means that account should be DELETED because it is TRADED account in some way!!! 2bad I hope you get your bells back, because I know how fustrating it is to find rare things if you're not buying them. I have a nice screenshot of Lotos whispering me that she/he got that account from Solo!!! Someone who uses the cheat, can do it as long as he is not been seen doing it. If he's been seen than the person who saw it , needs to report him. Then the MIR people check his log and he will be banned. If this is true, then there will be cheaters, i am sure. Isn't there a way to automaticly check logfiles by a computer programm ? They have to be on top of every "trainer" that uses this exploit. To be able to prevent further abuse it's best for them to know what exploits are being used. Other games have provn allready that there can be several programs who enable this cheat. Maybe there is one program out there that does something that isn't checked. The best way to prevent things like this is to try to catch it ever before it's used once. Security has to be updated all the time in order to prevent further abuse. This is the reason I asked to report users. It could be that half of the reports are allready under investigation but you might catch that 1 guy that was about to slip through the check. /Tricky Like I said, I never repeat myself. Level Up!

I can out run anyone that i team with or run around the mines with. Now what is to stop them from reporting me for cheat.Well nothing and this is my piont just make sure u know what ur diong or u could piss of a lot of ligitimate player like me and u wast lom staff time having to look for the player and the cheat. and i look forward to out running all ur asses in the near future

AZAL from HoG as also said he will give back the bells is a GM messages him. AZAL didn't know until after the trade of the bells didnt knwo the story until after he traded them. Many people have been saying about this cheat for the past 2 weeks and only now they are being stopped for 2 weeks. GM's said it was us with LAG?...... I will look forward to hearing form a GM about this. Please do not get me wrong, if Khaania was pk'ed by a non-cheater, I would not be bothered. But 6 thunderbolts in 3 secs is silly. I heard/read that shout too. I was in Serpent Valley Town at the time and it didn't click what she meant but now you've pointed it out I see what you mean... If you didn't cheat there's nothing to be afraid of... I'm on a 1.5 mbits internet connection myself and got a powerfull pc too, never heard that makes you run fast? Do want them to post on the mainpage that there is a speedcheat that works out there and everybody should try it. In order to prevent things like this escalating is to keep quiet untill you solve it.
