Well, we all know what happened, haven't we? Let's just say it is another one of those unfortunate fault to us, Legend of MIR players.

None of you really learn anything since TooBad & Co... I know you are going to say "They didn't hack anyone, they were given it to do so.", but should you all understand that a game (what we are all calling it) is made for fun, and many of you said "This is more than just a game.", if it is more than just a game, you can surely tell me Cheat (No better word for it) is not the best idea for anything.

You know guys, this game is been a lot of fun to some of us... we made friends, we enjoy the gameplay, we used most of our time to play it and ignored parts of our real life... etc. Tell me... I'm sure you don't just logon to play this game only, but you do enjoy the community we builded and the friends we made. Come on, don't lie to me... the game is cool.

Those new screen shots for the new patch are really interesting ain't they? Yeah, but what did we do? We complaint, we complaint and we complaint, then we spam... and then for some reasons... we stopped complainting... I thought this game is crap... isn't it?

So what have we got today? A lesson perhaps? Server Review... umm... very interesting. Yet again, we complaint...

How are you solve this mess this time if you were a MIR Staff?

No, don't go all red on me yet, because this game is not yours, it belongs to the Koreans... so you ask... "Why the hell they review the game, they should just delete those items and stuff?" Of course they will, only if they can. Remember, all that stuff we duplicated in the game have already been to most of our accounts (over and over), and it will take months to track them all down one by one. A rewind at certain point may not be a bad idea, as some of you complainted about it recently.

The stuff you will lose in tomorrow's rewind maybe a lot... there may even be a few maces and a few slayers. To some people in real life, when they lost something, and they will not get a rewind. If something can make us go back to exactly the same place as it was (in real life), and only thing we lost is time, I'm sure all of us will be happy to go for it, because we make mistakes all the time, and we could have a second go. No... this is just a game... it is not real.

No one wants to wait another month for the patch anyway, so we may as well clam down and let it happen... the next thing we should be thinking about is, again, rebuild what we have lost. Not the time we lost during the rewind, it is the community that we are screwing up today.

*sigh*

As to your real life, people make mistakes, we learn from it, as simple as that.

We live, and we learn, what's the point anyway?

So what about a rewind for your life? Will that be worth it to change everything you done?

I'd do the same, rewind. I'd have also done a rewind back to before Malerin gave out her password to Benin and credited all the paying accounts with the lost days involved. People would lose items and exp, sure, but the community would still be there. All that time we spent levelling up? Tough, we've done it once we can do it again. The game isn't all about levelling and items. If that's all it is to certain players, then they'll get mad and leave and go to another game to, yes, level up and acquire items all over again.

That's a tough call. I think the game was ready to launch commercially from the point of view that so many people loved it that they were willing to pay to play it. So from a business sense of view it was ready to launch.

The fact that people's accounts can be taken over by others is down to carelessness for the 'most' part of people giving out their account details ingame. The few that have genuinely had their accounts cracked and the fact that the forums were so easily cracked recently go to prove your point though, security certainly needs to be tightened in certain areas, and this should have been done before P2P started.

However, I've yet to see ANY online game that doesn't have problems from crackers, and LOM can learn from these mistakes and implement procedures to prevent them happening again. That process takes time, but I'm sure that eventually it will be done. When it IS done, you can be sure that crackers will again find loopholes and exploit them, and the circle of cracking/security measures/cracking will continue ad infinitum. That's the way it is with online games.

Lame sig time: In a recent survey it was discovered that 99% of people claiming to have 1337 skillz couldn't crack an egg.

Yeah oh yeah such fun this rewind will be.

The GM know nothing at all about the game, the community or the economy, only the players know that. Im afraid the GM have been away from game and players for so long that they have no idea what we want.

this is akin to banning a whole crowd of football supporters because a few hooligans start trouble, it is very heavy handed and ill thought out.

some1 steals a ring.... time is brought back and they now dont have it... but time was brought back for EVERY1 in the WORLD.. some guy may have scored with a f*cking fit bird... and cant build up the confidence 2 go back 2 square 1 and talk 2 her...

hes now lost out.... this AFFECTS ALOT OF PEOPLE.

u must realise how widespread this is... its affecting the innocent... and when u think about it how does it affect the guilty?

they knew they'd b deleted. so they're gone, happy the hacked the GM's... and we get stuck with the sh*t that doesnt need 2 happen...

Yes they are, but they should be ingame telling us that. To level here, there are a lot of GM accounts, none of them used, they dont know whos on. This wouldnt have happened if another Gm had been on because there should be atleast two GM on at any given time to help with player grievences. Those Gm should communicate ingame with each other.

No action should be possible without consent from another GM, that make sure it isnt a one sided decision, and then we all know that the decision wasnt a bias one made solely by one person.

The GM are not ever ingame, so what are the account there for?

If i lock my car and park it at the top of the estate for a few weeks, sooner or later someone will steal it.

How could they be so careless with something as important to the game as a GM account?

Our guild is going to lose a D.Slayer we got from ZT.

I agree it's all in good fun, but this kind of drop doesn't happen everyday...

Why did it take 4 days to come out public and say this GM was hacked and now we gotta rewind...if gm was hacked every other gm / prez should have known that day at that most and this should have been done then instead of us having to lose 5 days worth..

IMO ban ALL people involved and either track items spawned / duped and manually get rid of them thats the only clear / fair way of dealing with this situation.. i really dont aggro with paying for a gm being compromised..

If something like this in everquest happened there would be riots i dont see how anyone else can rewind at will.. im still debating quitting.. and i have only been playing 7 days which means over half i done is lost cause of this..

We dont want free days, we dont want to be affected by this whole episode in any way at all. They need to look through the logs (do they actually exist?), and find out exactly what was done, and then put that right.

personally i dont think the logs exist at all, or not in the way they make out, else they wouldn't be so clumsy with thier actions, i think maybe this is the only way they can put things back, and that sucks, it suggest the server database is only backed up every few days.

back to lvl 30 i go sigh... after being lvl 30 for a month i finally could be bothered lvling

Okay, maybe that's a LITTLE harsh, but hy do you assume they can't find the items with time and patience? "limited resources" We pay to play. Their resources are large.

Does anyone else feel like they completed the game ages ago?

Nor the Fact that working night shifts means my days off work are very limited at the best of times, and for me to spend two nights and early mornings geared to reaching level 32 <as near as damn it> just to have all that snatched away from me as though it never happened.
