To me the reason im pissed off at the staff is because what they need to do can be done by anyone and is not hard. Customer support should be top of their 'to do list' But nothing is done, thats no web page update no feedback no law kept, ive sent loads of mail with proof of players breaking game rules and get nothing done about it.

People everywhere try to hack, that goes from other online games such as UO DAOC to chat progams such as MSN. The problem with mir is its lack of security, a GM gave her password out and we all suffer, then a month on the GM's still not worried about secruity and again the team lose another GM account and again we pay.

Mir is a kick ass game and i love it but its not hard to do what WE as paying customers want to OUR game. If we have a 36 page talk on a tao upgrade then **** korea let us have it, What makes them a better judge than us? this should be a game that we can feel we have control of its future. But what we think means nothing.

you can blame the guy that hacked the system but i blame the gm's for having lack of secruity on the system. Where was the rewind when toobad made XX amount of halfmoon books and XX J maces?

Just all im asking is the GM's are more responsive to the game we play because the same mistakes are made over and over again.

The comment Hober made “It's sad that we always have to look after this kind of people, instead of working hard for Mir's improvement” is a very poor one if you give people the chance to abuse the system they will, it is your job to be one step in front so that any problems can be sorted quickly.

I also think that you need someone on staff who is in touch with average the player, who can see what response this action will take before you announce it to world and piss everyone off.

The biggest problem MIR has is inexperienced and naive staff who don’t seem to learn from their mistakes!!

just its so Frustrating when what we ask for is so little. All we want is some customer support!, it takes 10minutes to write some news on the front page i really carnt see how that is not possible.

Read the god damn forum GM's. It just really seems stupid that i can find a player that gives death threats get 150+ people to back the player to be banned, send you 4 emails with screen shot proof and still **** all gets done.

yes i go to a sixth form college, im doing an Advanced GNVQ and an A-level... how does the fact that im 16 have anything to do with my ability to be a GM or a player of MIR...

these preconceptions everyone has really are sad...

as for cubbys comment, its true, i did this whole thing to prove that these things can be done if MIR staff get off their arse and do them... the CAN hire good clever GMs to keep the server running... they CAN stop hacking, but getting people like me to look for the bugs and report them...

Well, you're just stating the obvious, but what is the point?

Seriously, what do you want to gain from these types of posts? A GM to come along and say "hey, you're right" and then for you to say I told you so. Do you wanna see MIR shutdown or something? Coz these types of posts are just gonna make that happen.

I see your frustration regarding GMs, but they are actually trying, even if you think they're not. If you perhaps highlight their errors without taking the piss and help them with official reports that they can pass onto their Korean development team it might aid the community/company spirit.

For example: If you go into a bar and at first you like it, then the bar fails to live up to previous expectations you dont start fights and try to insult the management you either sort it in a more relaxed manner or simply move onto another bar.

In my oppinion these posts are just anger being distributed in the wrong way. If you actually give a damn about this game - rethink your methods of voicing your oppinions...or kiss this game goodbye.

P.S. You can 'flame' my post all you like - deep down you know its the truth.

Incidentally, has anyone here heard of a game called Diaspora? That game had problems with hackers, lag and Staff who didn't keep in touch with players. I loved that game too, but for these reasons it died. BIG TIME. I suppose the MIR equivalent to what happened on Diaspora would be to have about 30 people suddenly having GM status and goin on a PKing rampage. That was where that game became a lost cause.
I just don't want to see it happen to another game I love.

Nicon, I understand what you mean, but we've tried being nice with the GMs. I've tried being polite and courteous, then firm, then unwavering, then abusive. Nothing works. I told them about the trading bug back in Beta and it's still there. "That is a very interesting bug. We are working to remove it." Nice job, boys.

If the rewind is to erase the traces of the hackers, why not rewind what Benin, TooBad and the rest did? Why not rewind back to Beta when the first accounts were hacked (just before Sabuk War between DigitalDevil and THO)? Why not rewind Mir back to when it was exciting, entertaining, enjoyable and not just another chore to be gotten out of the way?

Punishing the majority to discipline the minority is just stupid.

1. Fix lag - never done.
2. Put good items in shops - never done.
3. Release patch on due date - never done.
4. Be generally helpful in game - so long ago it seems like a dream.
