1st) I am pretty sure it will be postponed to January/February if it actually comes out in December I'll be very surpriced.2nd) Besides changing to 16bit and having new armours I think new things in it will be more lag and many many new bugs.

grrrr.. is right.. how many people are thoroughly bored at this point?? I know that if i hadn't created a wizard and started lvling him i'd prolly have quit by now. let's just hope that the december patch is released on schedule.

Thats wishful thinking m8, the new patch aint a payment problem wont get solved in 24 hrs.... I think December 2229, about same time Lord gets Mass Healing ( Sry M8, i'm turning into you  )SCOOBY

I don't think ppl r giving this new patch or the gm's a chance
cos this patch is supposed to be the biggy and i think we will all be very supprised.Ppl r slagging it off befor it has even come out so
wot does that tell the Gm's. It tell them if the ppl rn't bothered y should they, it isn't worth them making the patch, also ppl r saying y isn't there any gm's on any more. Isn't it odvious THEY R HARD AT WORK ON URE PATCH.

I'll tell you why alot of the people are complaining about the patch and release date before its due. It is because they have experience of the game, they know what happens with all knew patchs, its late, bug riddled and the only change you can notice is the taoists sound like Tinker Bell and the spiders look different.........Just because GM's are busy " working on our patch " ....lol
Does not mean they don't need to attend the game once aweek, answer an e-mail every so often or heaven forbid give back lost chara's to paying costumers....... If they kept us up dated maybe we'd give a rats ass......... SCOOBY Bring on the path, I killed all the bugs in BC, i need more |

You`re right again of course! If BT decided to upgrade their internet service, to one that works for exampe, do you think for one minute that directory enquiries, faults and billing would fail to open or respond until it was working? As a paying customer, you have the right to support and information and no manner of excuses can be accepted for not returning lost accounts or helping people connect to a service they are being charged for. I just hope this new patch will be more impressive than the lost and hopefully change that really annoying sound of the `heal` spell. (If you don`t see me healing very often it`s coz I hate the sounds! - soz in advance!)
You can almost bet a pound to a penny that true to previous form, certain promised features will end up being ommited from the upgrade for `bug` reasons. (such as the upgrade itself maybe!)

September 24, 2001 - As a special anticipation, here's few details regarding the forthcoming patch that will be out around December. This will be a major upgrade and it will introduce in the Mir world a complete new episode "The Evil's Illusion".- New graphic engine: Mir graphic engine will be completely upgraded to 16bit colors, this will allow more characters personalization like hair style and color, armour color and so on. New animation will be introduced and all the game appearance will move more to the oriental style.
- New User Interface
- Number of armour/robe doubled: 5 new kind of armour will be introduced in game (male and female version)
- Buildings organisation: users will be able to build up their own house and garden with some special effect!
- A complete new land to explore: a new continent, called "Land of Death" will be available with its own cities and mobs… and two great evil powers that will wait only our heroes' challenge!
Of course these are only the relevant upgrade. More will be revealed in the near future. In the meantime, check out the first part of our new trailer for "Evil's Illusion" in our gallery/movie page.

Being associated with software development and test teh last 25 years I can say that Mir's patchs to date have been remarkable as far as schedule goes typical delays are often many months
Just look how many games annouce they will be released by xx/x/xx and slip by more than 6 months and when they do arrive they are so buggy tehy are at the beta level.Mir folks aren't purfect but the are much better than most. DeathlyDad |

Doesn't really matter much beacuse I love the game,but I do like the more realistic look. I could never get into Nexus becuase I felt like I was playing Nitendo...

lol and maybe moire full of items we'll likely not see drop on the phoenix server, and lol like the warrior needs more weapons or better armor ffs.Me personally i get a woody when i hear the metalic tink of a warrior taking a solid hit as it occurs so rarely.revenge is a dish that is best served cold |

Dude, game is written in Delphi, very easy to use, also they only make minor modifications as the patch is really done in Korea, and you dont release a patch if it has bugs in it like they did with the previous one, I thought they had a test server for that ffs. And no I am no programmer, just assuming here with Delphi just in case you decide to reply with 2+ of programming specifics or something, but you have to agree latest version of Delphi makes you work faster on patches, programming, etc... cuz I seen m8s using it and telling me how wonderful it is compared to previous versions. And like Marshfarmer said, u dont stop giving support cuz your working on a new/side project, I like my Ford example better than the BT one though Which is: If Ford are working on a new car, does that mean they can shut all their garages down and put all their mechanics working on the new prototype and also all their customer support people? ummm sounded better last time... but you get the idea. And the thing that annoys me the most which people use as a reason why there isnt any GMs in MIR anymore "cuz they are working on the new patch" argh! How ignorant... nuff said
