I belive a lot of ppl will be comming with me, MIR has lost it there is no customer support DAoC has MASSIVE customer support, and I dont think the patch will do anything to make the game better.

MIR was fun till I got to lv 31 and now it sux there is nothing for me to do there are to many Dragon style Boss camping RTing (LDC) drop stealing ppl out there now...

Customer Support Weekly Report: 11/30/01 - 12/07/01

Overview:

We have not had a lot of change happening during this week. We have instead focused on firming up our support structure, hiring more people, and locating weak areas to improve in. The one exception to this is in our appeal interface in game, which we expanded on, and also in the improvements that we have made to the feedback message when you do an /Appeal. Both of these improvements allow us to better prioritize tickets, and give our customers more feedback on where they are in the queue and how long they can expect to wait. Here is the Good and the Not So Good:

The Good:

1. Our ticket count for standard appeals is slowly getting under control. We still have a lot of work to do before it gets where we want it, but if it continues to improve in the manner, we will be under a 4 hour response time on standard appeals within 1 month.
2. We have separated out Naming, Violation, Stuck, Quest, and Bug tickets into separate queues, with separate escalation schemes. This enables us to put our focus where we need it, and shift that focus at a moments notice.
3. Our Technical and Billing support is doing VERY well. They respond to e-mail within 12 hours on average. Their phone hold times are extremely low, while their resolution rates are extremely high.
4. Our communication methods, and up-front attitude about support set us well above any other support organization in the industry.

The Not So Good:

1. We are still taking far too long on average to respond to in-game appeals. We are improving, but need to keep pushing aggressively to get our response times under 4 hours.
2. Our Quest Queue is still very backed up. We have applied several new people to the quest team, and are slowly chipping away at the issues, but it will take us at least another month before we are caught up.
3. We are far behind on renaming anything that does not violate rule number one of the naming policy (rule #1 violators are taken care of immediately).

Average Response time (Harassment): 14 minutes, 11 seconds.
Average Resolution time (Harassment): 21 minutes, 45 seconds.

Telephone Average Hold Time: 5 minutes.
E-Mail Average Response Time: 12 hours.

First and foremost, what exactly are the reasons so many people have said they are leaving Mir? Is it that the majority are high lvl players who no longer experience the challenge of new discoveries? If so, they could make a new character of a different class, and start again.

For me, boredom is not the reason I will leave Mir. My main character is a 25 wiz, my secondary is a 17 Tao, so I still have challenges to face, as I still can't handle BC alone, and my one visit to MC resulted in death after 10 seconds. I have still to get a rare item in a drop, so I would have that to look forward to as well.

My reason for leaving will be the attitude of an increasing number of players. I am sick and tired of Dragon players "immigrating" to Phoenix, and doing nothing but criticising the gameplay, characters, items, drops .. in fact, you name it, and these people will criticise it. In the real world, if an immigrant were to do nothing but criticise his or her adopted country, they would very quickly become very unpopular. Why do Dragon players have to be that way on Phoenix? They have already polluted Dragon .. there is no need to export their attitude to Phoenix.

Like others, I am also sick and tired of the PKing. This seems to be spiralling out of control to the point where it is no longer safe to stay logged on while AFK. I dread getting up in the morning after leaving one of my characters training in the training room overnight, as I now expect to find that I have been killed in my sleep. Even being AFK in a so-called "safe zone" is far from safe, as some idiot wiz will leave pets there to untame, and kill any unfortunate AFK player who thought a safe zone was supposed to be safe.

My account runs out within a day or so .. at this point I am really not sure whether or not I will renew for one more month. I have made a lot of friends, several of whom have been very generous to me. I always try and "pay it forward" by donating items to players coming up the ranks behind me, as I find this a very rewarding aspect of the game.

I will have some good memories of my time in this game (I'll NEVER forget that hunt to ST 7F where eventually the 5th WEB killed me), but unfortunately, the good times are far outweighed by the increasing number of bad experiences I now have, such as the guy who killed my pets in BW (sheep and a wolf I brought all the way from MW) then had the damned nerve to tell me I had no right to tell him he shouldn't kill them. That attitude just sickened me, and was pretty much the last straw.

So .. to any of you who will be playing DAoC on the US servers, I hope to meet you there .. most of you who have said here that you will be playing are the type of player I would be honoured to meet in another game.

To those of you who play in the style that is killing this game ... I have nothing to say.

No signature, those of you who know me will know me. The others? I don't care.

As I have said I have 3 months left on my account so you may see me around when I get home sick :(

What I really cant understand: if those guys are so bored with playing mir why the heck don't they quit and play something else? There are several hundreds of games to play and thousands of other possible things to do beside playing computer games (hey did you really know that?).

The majority is still enjoying the game and only some weird people are disrupting the fun. So dont make yourself a nerd only because this game bores you!

As for those who leave for DoaC. This game might be another share of fun and I wish you luck with it (perhaps joining next year) but it wont be different in case of bored dudes who dont know how to spend their time other than annoying those having real fun. They will be there as well.

It really fascinates me that some people pay for being bored

Ok, here is the thing...

Evils Ellusion will be finished till end of Dec, but it will have to be tested like any other update/patch. That Beta period will last 6 months, and any costumer can play it, but EI will be on diferent server, not merged with LOM The three heroes, so to play EI you will have to start new char on that new server. After Beta period of 6 months, your chars on EI server will be deleted and EI will be merged with existing episode The three heroes, so you will be able to play EI with your existing chars after merge.
Till then LOM staff will keep you ocupied with new quests, contests, events etc.

And just one point about DAoC there can not be PKing in the game as it is here in LoM. Because you can not kill ppl within your own realm.
