You moaned because the game was getting boring. The GMs organise an event and what do you do? ****ing moan about it. LOM is going to improve now the GMs are taking a more active role. Back them and LOM instead of being permanently negative.
How about an event for Phoenix please GMs?

If they are going to have events then they should back them up with hardware that's capable of running them. Otherwise, any promises of events like this are just empty and pointless. If they aren't going to promise events and the like, then they better come up with something good coz ppl are getting bored.

Where either of you there? It was a total bag of ****e lol.

The game is still boring!

The events would be good if the lag wasnt so rediculous.

I nearly lost 1 on 1 with an oma fighter, until i remembered i had a skelly who doesnt suffer from lag.

I know a level 32 warrior who took nearly 5 mins to kill an oma.

It was rediculous

ffs,

off course people complain!

WE been complaining about lag for AGES!

Is logical that changing ISP's is their 1st fuken priority, have they changed servers? nope

I heard it is because they paid for a year or more for the service, but the fact is that the service is crap, is not out fault that they choose the crappiest ISP available in Europe, so it is their duty to change ISP's ASAP. They keep waiting and waiting like retards instead of switching.

Even if it costs them an eye and a leg to switch it still an inversion, you expend money to make money sort of speech.

And now they know about the lag issue, they know the problems that players have in crowded areas but still they decide to make the event.

And the worse part of all is because this is the first event in MONTHS, what can you expect? 10 ppl to show? NO everyone will show, people from Phoenix with chars in Dragon will use their chars to attend the event, people who have left MIR and heard of the event and still have an active account will play as well!

As a phoenix player myself I think they have a good right to moan judging by the posts about it i really hope they dont have an event like this on phoenix till they do something with the piss poor servers. Its all very well having an event but not so it screws the server.
When malerin (if it was malerin) spawned those mobs in the contest room i was doing evrything in slow motion and i have cable modem. The servers are simply not up to it. Noone is criticising the GM's . Its the people who provide the core infrastructure ie the technical side who really need to examine wtf is happening and any criticism should be levelled at them.

I repeat again, lag on an internet connection is a fact of life unless ur called Richard Branson or something. Internet service provision costs a lot when ur "serving" internet related material, why do u think even the "big" download places have client limits?
Mir Internal have a limited budget, with this budget theny must train staff, maintain and upgrade equipment, work with software, liscence software, deal with all the pr stuff, generate u guys a webpage, pay out all those copyright/domain name reg fees etc, pay for tech support and a whole lot of other stuff most of u never even knew existed. They have limited funds for an internet connection, and so must go with the most economically viable solution. Its not a case of them not liking you, or wanting to make you suffer, or not having been hugged enough as children, if the means arent there they cant provide anything better. If you want a better service, do us all a favour, like ive said before, send a big fat cheque to Mir internal for use towards Service provision, or pay the stupendous amount of money it takes to set up a satelite uplink between you and their servers.
Actual service out of the way, you might consider paying BT, and all the various European telecomms companies your personnal transmission travels across to upgrade their network trunks, as poor performance in peak demand might not be down to Mir's service providers at all, but one of a dozen or so different telecoms companies with different standards for their individual networks.
Lag is a pain in the butt, i conceed that much, but slating Mir internal for something which is not necessarily even within their power to afect is pointless, thoughtless, unecessary and ultimatly inefective.
You might as well complain that your local paper boy delivers late because of their servers or something.

However, yes i admit they could work on the website a little more often, although i fear if they did it as often as many of u wished, it would be full of nothing more that half a million messages to the effect that
"Hi mir internal here, we got into work on time, servers havent brokn yet, we're all going for a cuppa, see u all later".

Think before you speak, or in many cases shout scream and rave, a well thought out, unbiased constructive argument is far more use than another ranting by a crazed loon.

Speaking as one such loon ill get off now, before i get assassinated irl or something

The lag was just one problem. People blocking the exit of towns casting spells was a big help also. try to enter the woods was fun with everyone fighting at thre enterance. I have a cable connection and dont have lag that bad. as soon as the event was over the lag was gone. that was a shock. and all the people left the town. It seems that people just logged on to hang out and cause problems.

Hey how about a server for adults so the kids can pk and enoy each other and leave the game players alone.

what ever is going on there m8 the fact is :
1- we are paying customers.
2- we are not getting much support.
3- not much info to keep us going on even give us some hope.
4- things are not getting better even after few monthes.
5- lag problem been there since beta days and should have been fixed with p2p.
6- more people joining the game with out adding more servers to handel the load.
7- the event are not that good cuz its located in 1 place and should be in more then 2 places to split the lag/users and we have real fun.
8- more people lvling up and finding no items for there lvling and lose intrest to lvl up more.
9- getting board of the same old mobs.

It would have all been avoided if it had been a suprise attack, it would have required less wooma and less people would have been online when it happened so way less people turning up to the event!

It was just like random spawning killing lagged out people everywhere.

It would be much better if there was a source of spawn, like in one of the old events where it spawned from top left of woomy woods.

What happens when you post details of a Mir event...

1500+ people online, Lagosaurus monster enters the game and
the crawl to kill creates a bottleneck at the entrance to
Woomyan woods, crushing several players to death.

GM`s please note... The next event involves Cities.
Bichonwall cannot support 1500 players within its walls!

Really chaotic last night, sadly.. I had to leave very early
due to severe lag. However, I`m sure those of you blessed
with a broadband connection must have enjoyed reaping the
benefits.

To Delusion!

I take it you haven't been present in the real world of commercialism for too long have you?

You suggest us sending money to the Mir staff to put right the problems they are having?

What a stupendously idiotic suggestion. Digital Bros are a commercial organisation, they are not a registered charity. They are offering a specific service for a proscribed fee. We, as users, are paying that fee.

Accordingly we are entitled to receive the service they advertise. Further to that we are entitled to complain about anything that detracts from the gaming experience we have been promised. As it is a game, there are certain factors which don't have to be overtly stated in any legal or adverising bumf, e.g. games are supposed to be enjoyable.

It is not our duty to bail Digital Bros out of any problems they maybe having. It is their duty to supply that which they have promised, regardless of any problems they are having. It really is of no concern to us the paying customers. The scale of their operation is immaterial. If they have limited resources then their business plan should take that into account and limit the usage of those resources.

If MacDonalds ran out of meat and could only sell a small percentage of their burgers. Would you expect to send them a few cash donations so they can go to a different but more expensive supplier? I think not!

Edit: a couple of typos
